Rooster were an English hard rock band from London.Formed in 2003, the group featured vocalist Nick Atkinson, guitarist Luke Potashnick, bassist Ben Smyth and drummer Dave Neale.Signed to Brightside Recordings, the band released their debut album Rooster in 2005. The group's second album Circles and Satellites followed in 2006, before the band broke up in 2007. It's the kind of stuff which may slip through quality control and onto a Bon Jovi album on a bad day. Come on lads, make an effort!
This is the second album, not the 20th anniversary reunion tour. Conception There's much more of the same on an album which rejoices in its Los Angeles conception - it was recorded at the legendary Sound City studios whose previous customers include Nirvana and the Chili Peppers - but fails to summon the kind of swagger which would convince us that Rooster will move up the pecking order from guitar-wielding boy band to rock gods.
