I've made a silly mistake by not checking the compatibility of Windows 7 with Primavera 3. I can't install this program to my new laptop.
Hello sadli3, You might be able to use Compatibility Mode. If the program is not compatible, then you may try to install and run the program in compatibility mode. Use the following steps: 1) Right click on the Program 2) Click on Properties 3) Click on Compatibility tab 4) Select Run this program in compatibility mode and select Windows Vista or whatever operating system the program was running successfully. Refer to the link here: Make older programs run in this version of Windows If the compatibility is not successful, then try and run the Program Compatibility troubleshooter: 1. Open the Program Compatibility troubleshooter by clicking the Start button. Then click Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting.
Under Programs, click Run programs made for previous versions of Windows. Follow the instructions in the troubleshooter. If you cannot install a program, insert the installation disc for the program and, using the troubleshooter, browse to the program's setup file, usually called Setup.exe, Install.exe, or something similar. The troubleshooter is not designed to work on programs that have an.msi file name extension. If you run Windows 7 Professional / Ultimate, you can install Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP mode () and execute your software in Windows XP. If you run Windows 7 Home Premium, try a 3rd party virtualization software that will allow to run software in other operating systems. Doing a search on the internet will give several free versions that will work on Windows 7 Home Premium version.

If you are considering an upgrade to Windows 10 there are certain things you must know. First of all, Oracle has no plans to certify any release of Primavera P6 older than R8.2 to work with Windows 10. Oracle plans to issue Service Packs for several releases in September of 2015 to ensure compatibility, but if you have purchased Release 15.1 after August 2015 everything should be fine. And while Oracle will not certify Releases 7.0 through 8.1 as being compatible with Windows 10, they have not found any issues as long as the latest Service Pack is being used. Windows 10 also includes a new browser called Edge. This does cause a problem for users of Primavera P6 EPPM so it is advised that you continue using Microsoft Explorer, Google Chrome, or Firefox Mozilla for P6 Web. Further details are provided below.
