Although I have been pleased with other products from Dino such as the F-35 and T-45, I must say that in my opinion the Hawkeye/Greyhou- nd package is disappointing and simply not up to par with other INDIAFOXTECHO offerings. Specially, the T-56 engines sound 'weak' at best. Should it not sound somewhat like a two-engine C-130? It's called a 'hummer' but fails to 'hum'. While the exterior modeling is good, the cockpit textures disappoint. And the lack of click sounds for the various cockpit switches is very noticeable.
In short, This product seems 'unfinished', and I do not believe it is up to Dino's past standards. Therefore, at 30.00 Euro I believe the product to be overpriced in it's present form. Dino has demonstrated in the past that he can be a top drawer developer, but in the case of the Hawkeye/Greyhou- nd he needs to revisit the product. One Outstanding Aircraft, and One of the Best Available For Flight Simulation under any platform. I have had the pleasure of owning this aircraft since it was released and have used it often through its evolvement and perfection through developer updates that are easily installed by the TFDi manager software. If you love highly accurate aircraft simulation, don't miss this product. It will not disappoint.
Th- ere are more super-accurate aircraft and airliners available now for flightsim enthusiast, than at any other time in history, for both P3D (FSX) and X-Plane 11. The bar has been raised very high and we are no longer satisfied with passive representations of airliners that just squeak by as looking good, but using a lot of default systems. TFDi'- s 717 is among the best available at a time when flight simmers are demanding extreme realism in both optics and systems. Visua- lly, this aircraft is just beautiful.

If you are comfortable with PMDG's MD11 for FSX, you will be flying this like a pro in no time.
You can actually use a lot of PMDG's MD11 manuals to apply to this 717. TFDi's 717 can be relied on to get you to your destination, whether you are flying online with demanding Pilotedge or Vatsim ATC instructions or just flying offline. Since it is a short to medium range aircraft you will be doing more takeoffs and landings, and you will experience the awesome manual flight dynamics that are built into this software along with its accurate autoflight system. The Boeing 717 has its roots in McDonald-Dougla- s and will be a new and very pleasant experience if you are used to other Boeing or Airbus simulations. T- his TFDi 717 is solid, high-quality and accurate, in both software and simulation. It has brought me many hours of enjoyment and it is among my very favorites.
I'm sure that you will agree. I bought this because of the lack of sceneries in FSX for this important airport in Kerala (there is an excellent freeware scenery in FS9 though). But this is an amateur's work, and is not up to payware quality (as on 1/1/19). Frame-rates are poor considering the small size of the software and the lack of detail, pointing to a lack of optimisation in the code. A few unsightly 'FSX stock' features also remain (stately office buildings and a fuel bunk on the apron!). The installer is rather rudimentary (seems to be designed to work with FSX-SE only) and then one is required to manually deactivate a bgl file in the scenery/world folder.
