They have Relaxed, as well as Timed, Modes of play – thank goodness. An interesting addition to the Basic Options is a Max Quality mode that you can change to get a clearer screen – however it changes from wide to square screen to do so. After checking it I opted for the Wide screen which wasn’t too bad. The game screen of the LONDON CLASSIC is, as are all of the BIG CITY ADVENTURE games, surrounded by a perimeter of bubbles that are filled by the reward pic as you complete each level. There are, I believe, 51 of these around the LONDON CLASSIC game screen, which gives you a clear indication of how many games you have to play until completion. You send postcards of info about the location that you visited each level which you can read or skip, and then the Map shows you walking from where you have been to the next location.

You gain reward Hint coins, which also give you multiple hints at a time as well as individual ones. There is also a Quick Continue between levels if you wish to get on with the Puzzle and then the next location. The Puzzles are fun, not too taxing, but not too bland. The Map in LONDON STORY is useful as you can move from one location to another quickly without having to go back and forth tediously. This Big City Adventure takes the Classic game across into the Hidden Object Adventure mode and does it quite well, as far as my Free Trial allowed me to see. Mind you there were frustrating moments as you seemed to have all that you could do even though you knew what next needed to be done, but couldn’t get there. FF NB: The trick was to go back AGAIN over each screen entirely and carefully as there are objects that are so easily missed.
I do like the easily accessed Walkthrough in the bottom left corner that you can resort to when you really just can’t find what you have missed. I recommend both these games – they are playable and fun. The Hidden Objects are clever but fair, and the game can be left and returned to easily. I already won the rest of the Big City Adventure games.
